The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires staff to undertake appropriate Fire Safety Instruction and Training.

 

21.—(1) The responsible person must ensure that his employees are provided with adequate safety training—

(a)at the time when they are first employed; and

(b)on their being exposed to new or increased risks 

Practical Fire Awareness Training

 

This course is designed to go more in depth than the online course with users able to get hands on with fire extinguishers allowing them to become both confident & competent in their use.

This course trains nominated personnel in the duties of a fire warden and also in the practical element of operating fire extinguishers.

Delivered by a fully qualified trainer the course delivered for a maximum of 8 personnel involves:

  • Training delivered on your premises

  • 2.5 hours in-house training

  • Learn the risks within your workplace

  • Explanation of current legislation

  • Learn how to detect and prevent fires

  • Learn how to react in a fire situation and raise the alarm

  • Emergency procedures including evacuation drills

  • Practical & theoretical use of fire extinguishers 

Fire Warden Training

 

To meet the requirements of the Fire Safety Order and train designated personnel in the use of fire equipment including fire extinguishers fire wardens are normally appointed within a business.

This course trains nominated personnel in the duties of a fire warden and also in the practical element of operating fire extinguishers.

Delivered by a fully qualified trainer the course delivered for a maximum of 12 personnel involves:

  • Training delivered on your premises

  • 3 hours in-house training

  • Teach delegates the role of a Fire Warden and their responsibilities

  • Explanation of current legislation

  • Learn how to detect and prevent fires

  • Learn how to react in a fire situation and raise the alarm

  • Emergency procedures including evacuation drills

  • Fire fighting equipment practical training
